James Joseph (J J) Styles - Candidate StatementBy J J Styles Candidate for National Vice-PresidentI have been a financial Union Member for over 25 years and have represented members well in numerous elected Union and Occupational Health and Safety Representative positions in the AFULE (Victorian Division) and the RTBU. I have over 25 years experience in the railways, including the "Driving Grades of the Footplate" and I am currently working as a full-time Locomotive Driver at South Dynon Locomotive Depot in Victoria. I have also previously served a term as a National Vice-President of the RTBU when I was elected as Junior National Vice-President and Trevor Avery was Senior National Vice-President. I see my role as Vice-President as assisting the other Officers and having the rules and objectives of the Union carried out in the interests of members. I would help to support and improve the relationship of the State Branches and National body to improve the position of RTBU members nationally. I am interested in all aspects of improving the well-being of members and I will continue to support increases in PAY, job CONDITIONS and career prospects of all members of the RTBU. Thank you for your vote and your support. Ph: 0402 941 135 |
