RTBU-PacNat Member's EBA 2006 Update Newsflash! 64

16 August 2006

4% Wage Increase and Back Pay: In the previous edition of the RTBU Newsflash Update we reported that we had received a number of enquiries from members regarding the 4% wage increase and the back pay to October 30, 2005.

We further reported that the RTBU would continue to seek information from the company on the matter, and would report any information as soon as we received it.

We are pleased to be able to report that there has been some progress on this matter. The company has advised the RTBU that the 4% wage increase will take effect in the next pay, the 24th August 2006. Also included in that pay will be the back pay for the current financial year, the pay period commencing 25 June, 2006. Then, in the following pay employees will receive the remainder of the back pay from the previous financial year, 30 October, 2005 to 24 June, 2006.

Now that this matter has been satisfactorily resolved the parties will be able to concentrate all of the attention necessary to negotiate new Agreements for members.

Further Information:

Members will continue to be kept informed of any significant developments through future editions of your Newsflashes.
